A guy whom raped their teenage foster child after plying her with liquor was jailed for 12 years.
July Richard Moloney, 41, with an address at Tullaskeagh Drive, Roscrea, Co Tipperary, had been convicted by a jury after a trial at the Central Criminal Court last.
He had been discovered bad of rape, dental rape and intimate attack of their then 16-year-old foster child at their Tipperary home on 16 July 2016.
At a phrase hearing last October their target, Ciara Monaghan, looked to face Moloney and told him “today we stay in front of you a survivor”.
The court heard she wants to waive her privacy so Moloney could be identified.
Sentencing Moloney, Mr Justice Alex Owens stated he had abused whatever trust the fostering agency had put in him.
He stated he’s got shown no remorse and there is no true part of suspending any part of the phrase as he will continue to reject their offending.
He stated Moloney lied on oath throughout the test and alleged the target had intimately assaulted him. He stated it was a badge of really character that is bad.read more
